The Sagmosavank has a distinct beauty. The architect used color formations. Apart from being built with red and black stones, some parts are also painted with white, yellow, and red paints, which gives the building a magnificent appearance.
About Artist
Narek Avanesyan was born in 1990 in the village of Chartar, Martuni region.
In 2007 he was admitted to the “Fine Arts and Technical Drawing” department of the Artsakh State University, Faculty of Humanities.
From 2011 he worked at Chartar Art School as a painting teacher, and in 2012-2019 as a director.
He took part in the April 2016 war, as well as in the 2020 Artsakh war unleashed by Azerbaijan.
