Description
Our Old Monastery – Goshavank, oil painting by Lusine Harutiunian
Oil paint on 3mm thick hard cardboard.
Armenian nature has always been and continues to be my main source of inspiration. If you have been to Armenia at least once, then you will agree with me that Armenian nature is like a paradise.
I decided to travel through Armenia and present it to you through my painting.
This is a painting of an old monastery in the village of Gosh, Armenia. It’s called Goshavank and it was built in the 12th or 13th century.
This painting is an original artwork created by me.
About Artist
Coming from an artistic and musical family I began painting from a young age. I was inspired by my sister, who was a pianist, to become an artist.
I started painting with watercolor and gouache when I was 7 years old. 5 years later I went to painting classes and took part in exhibitions and competitions. Then I went to college and after that attended the Armenian State Pedagogical University.
I decide to paint with acrylic and oil paint because they help in realizing my vision in the form of art.
I draw inspiration from nature, architecture, and from Armenia, where I currently live.
