    Utis-Tat, by Lilit Vardanyan

    Utis-Tat is an Armenian broom doll traditionally made to celebrate Barekendan (Carnival). During the ceremony, youth carried the doll throughout houses and yards in the neighborhood.
    It is believed that Utis-Tat brought happiness and success to families, and took away bad luck and negative energy.
